BAUHAUS MANDALA

This piece was the product of a two-day workshop at Sarofsky and the prompt was to create a mandala pattern with any elements we wanted. I decided I wanted mine to feel a bit like the Triadische Ballet, from the Bauhaus. I sketched and modeled custom shapes, chose the look and feel and this little clip is the result of my efforts that weekend.

The creative process began with some mood-boarding and references including Rogério Duarte, the Ballet and Hélio Oiticica.

I then modeled the individual pieces to be repeated and sketched an idea to illustrate a possible color palette.
